The BBC has created Headroom, a campaign to encourage us to look after our mental well-being. There's a great microsite on the BBC website, including a section called Mind Spa to help you explore your mental well-being and to help you through life's ups and downs.
Ahead of the launch of her new book (January 2009) my fab friend, Professor Karen Pine is building on the research we started last year into women, emotions and spending. She's now looking for women to participate in a quick (5 minutes) online questionnaire about the credit crunch.
As a thank you for taking part you can leave a money question on www.sheconomics.com which Karen or her co-author Simonne will answer.
Grace Bowman, bestselling author of "Thin", and I are working on a writing project to bring personal stories of recovery from eating disorders to other sufferers. Our work is in its infancy (March 2008) and we are currently talking to people about what triggered their recovery. We're listening to people's stories about how they realised they had a problem, what made them seek help and their positive and practical advice to others. If you have recovered or are recovering from an eating disorder and have something to say that might helps others we'd be really pleased if you would complete our (anonymous) online questionnaire. Or you can e-mail me, Jessica Chivers, at jessica@beyoubutbetter.co.uk or Grace Bowman at gracebowman@yahoo.co.uk
